No issues at all other than a sloppy wiring job that that I had to reconsider and redo. It is kind of nice knowing what you're turning over. I still shift by my ears and what feels right, but it's still good to know for sure. If you get one, make sure it's an 8K.

Well, actually I didn't take any notes or photos when I did that. I must have been having a bad hair day (everyday?)

What I did do was to "sh1tcan" the rubber mounting assembly that came with the tach because I didn't want anything clamped on the handlebar (the windshield brackets are ugly enough). Then I mounted the tach on the orignal chrome bracket using some rubber grommets as bushings for vibration.

Then I slid the bracket into the gap in the riser clamp and tightened it down. The tach is tight. The handlebar is tight, and there is nothing clamped on the bar. The tach is purposely off-center that way, but that kinda matches my personality

The rest were just leads to the coil which I covered in some cable wrap.

Just had an awful idea -- I could use a Harley Speedo & Tach up next to each other in the stock Harley police-type mount over the bars, and then convert the current speedo to a cupholder in the tank.

Pardon me my red neck is showing.

Actually, that's starting to sound good. Does anyone know what kind of speed ratio I'd need for the speedo? Like a 1:1 or 2:1 or whatever?

Or am I just smoking crack...
