Footpeg mounts

I'm looking to improve the ergos a little on my '01 and was looking at offset mounts for the footpegs.  I know Kuryakin makes the offset mounts but don't know if any will fit the Savage.  Can anyone here clue me in?

Sorry if this is a dumb question...

You need forward controls. I have been working on an adaptor plate to move the existing controls forward for the last month or so. You can buy them from seeger cycles for $550 US. Ouch!  Angry

I will post my results soon.  Grin

Actually, I'm not looking for forward controls.  Leg position while riding is almost perfect for me, except the pegs could stand to be an inch or two lower.  That's why I was asking about the offset mounts.

The pegs are already scraping long before tire adhesion breaks.  If you lower them you wouldn't be able to turn at all!

Supposedly, pegs, floorboards, and related marketed as fitting the VS800 Intruder fit the LS as well...Haven't tried it myself. The fuel taps supposedly swap onto the LS as well, though why you would want a proven leaker is beyond me.

Check the peg mounts on Honda and yamahas as well, some of them are the exact same piece as the factory Savage peg mount, so if it fits them it should fit the Savage. Wish the industry would standardize some of the generically sourced bolt on bits... as in pegs, wiring, lighting, brake pads/shoes, batteries (the Savage battery also fits ONE Honda dirtbike), key switches, fuel taps, etc. They are all Nippondenso or Stanley electronics...
