[glow=red,2,300]RATBIKE [/glow]

May be a RatBike now, But it is juat the first build to see if all works OK, Then possible will be tarted up a bit... To be honest thisd bike is going to be ridden into the ground, I already have two clutch and throtle cables run as backups, tied to the existing ones. So pretty chrome bits wont really do me much good. Smiley

Yeah! You got it Grin. Thanks for bailing me out. Mott is the bomb. Many of the metal/glam bands from the 80's & 90's stole lots from those guys. The stuff still holds up today.

Sluggo's right -- there is nothing wrong with a ratbike.  On the contrary, in my opinion, a true rat bike is the ultimate expression of motorcycle utility.  (a true rat grows that way from neglect, weather, and patching in/on various fixes without regard to cosmetics.  Those who custom build a bike to look like a rat do not understand the soul of the rat.)

Tarting 'er up a bit is okay, jes' don't try ta make a lady outta 'er.  I think it is a great looking bike as it is.

Ratbikes are PREFECT.  Irritate the crap out of the posers and the shiney-hiney crowd on their chrome-plated sows (gitazan, 2005)

Don't change anything.

I like it! I remember an English friend of mine complaining about the MOT process. The last one she took her first generation Mini through, the car failed. So she torched it at the testing facility. She lives in Spain now...

The graveyard was creaking with too many bones

Well I do remember Ian Hunter - but you see that lines up on about a 5 year span that I really don't remeber much about  Roll Eyes could have been a favorite!

I grew up listening to Mott The Hoople, one of the first hard rock bands. Very antisocial music Grin, Still have them in my record collection even have an orignal red vinyl copy of thier first album. The Londonthing Savage is turning out to be a piece of art. Either keep it as a ratbike or turn it into a cafe racer. Just ride the snot out of it and have fun. Ed L.
