Also, how did you fit the triple clamps to your bike? Is there a standard size stem for the frames on bikes? I aint done this befo'.
Nope the stem was too short, but with much Jigery and Pokery I have managed to get the two together, next time i take her appart ill take some snaps if that. is a bit hard to explain how i did it
Thanks so much for all your compliments, it really means a lot to me

My Savage pitches me up in the air on bumps, too. I guess it does not discriminate. Sure wish there were better springs on that machine...

The stock Savage gives you at least...oh I don't know...maybe something like 1 1/2" of real travel...on a good day...if your lucky. I picked up a set of shocks with more travel.....12 1/2 " eye to eye instead of 10 1/2 " for a stock shock. It was thought to be a progressive shock but was not. Still looking for a works or progressive set. Won't be long until I find one.

Stock shocks don't have much compression. And they wear out pretty quickly. By 4000 miles of use, mine were on setting 5, which ought as well be a rigid frame. Of course, I do tend to beat on my bike pretty good.
If I wanted a smooth ride I'd have bought a Road Glide or a Honda.

I was thinking some of those fancy racer air adjustable shocks, that rise up and down by themselves.... I DO HAVE A GOOD REASON FOR THIS. since my bike is incredibly lower to the ground than stock dur to the front end, I have to have it on 100% flat ground so the side stand actually works, and it looks a bit prone to falling over with a slight gust of wind, So when i park up i wanted to raise the suspention on the rear maybe 5-6 inches but put it back down again to ride.... Its controled by a little switch i think..... Now the quation is, will it ;look pants????

ALSO
Im a bit concened for the same reason as above, about my oil level, as it would be totally out due to the different angle the bike sits at.... ANY IDEAS anyone?
