I KNOW this has been brought up at least once before. I'm wondering how much oil an oil and filter change requires. Seems to me that the Bike manual or Clymer is wrong in it's amount (there was a big discussion on this last year at this site or the other - but i was really a newb then and didn't pay attention). If you know the amount in litres - please post.

The OEM & Clymer are apparently wrong when it comes to the LS650's oil capacities ...
Correct amounts are as follows;
Oil Change without filter = 1.8 litres
Oil Change with filter = 2.0 litres

I've tried both and the level seems fine ... mid-way, or just a little better between the "Min." & "Max" lines on the sight glass wit hthe Bike held straight & level ...

Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure you are not, in fact, just surrounded by arseholes!
