New Bike
04/23/05 at 00:26:27

Well I decided to clean out my garage, and my Savage is going to a new home. Loved the bike for around town and short trips but decided it was time for something a bit more "wind-friendly" for longer freeway driving.

I picked up a new 2005 M50 today and put the first few miles on it. So far, its unbelievable. If anyone's thinking of getting this bike it is a steal even at the MRSP of $6745...

My next task is to part with my 77' Sporty  Smiley

Dang Washington State is a bit far to go for a 77 sporty.  If you lived in the Confederate states, I'd make you an offer.  Best wishers to you, and hang around the site - don't wandfer off.

I have 5 bikes right now, and 5 cars:

98 Savage 650
98 Sportster 883
96 YZF600R
83 XR500R (ebay auction closes in 26 hours)
78 GS1000

If it has a motor or goes bang (pref. both) I love it.

Current cars:

2004 Suburban & Impala
74 F100
65 LeSabre
64 Impala

Keep in touch no matter what you are riding.

Depending on where he is in Wa, I could possibly hold it for you...pretty sure the dog wouldn't eat it if I put it in the backyard.  Grin
-WD

Although, she did eat a beer can, a battery cable that she pulled off the John Deere, two dog houses, and a 55 gallon drum BBQ, with a blown glass Christmas tree ornament for dessert...

I've got access to covered storage at my folks if you decide Tx to Wa isn't too far for you.

Thank you,I'll start another message to ask what he'd take for the Sporty.

Want to hear a bad story?

I just bought a 2000 Honda VLX650 from two neighbors down for $750. Has not run in 3 years.  The poor guy blew some discs in his back and is on total disability now.

Poor guy, all he wanted was somebody to talk to.  Nobody in the neighborhood would speak to him cause his grass was high and he had some cars in the drive that had not been moved in several months.

What's the world coming to, nobody cares about anybody anymore.  My granddaddy must be rolling in his grave (God rest his soul) right now.  He hated everybody, no discrimination, but he would also talk with anyone no matter what.  Even the most low-life he ever saw, he would say hello and listen to their story.

What's the matter, don't we even care for our fellow man anymore!  I'm 37 and I think my grand daddy will come out the grave and slay everybody that shunned the guy.

Sorry, I got carried away.  Realy upset form the man being so shunned.  I'll go back to my greedy republican (and proud of it) self now...

If you really want to move the Sportster, let me know.  I have a real soft spot for old bikes, and it looks like I have a connection in WA (thank you WD).

Never been to WA state before, I'd like to see it.
