Got my new paint, WOW...

I'm going to have to figure out how to con my wife into putting up some pics soon. I thought the Kubota type 2 bright orange was nice. This stuff puts it to shame.

Dupli-color Metal Specks, Burnt Copper. It is a candy orange blended with copper, gold, silver, and pearlescent micro-flakes. They also have Bright Blue (Cobalt to my eye), Green, Black, Silver, and Red.

It sprays like a traditional high pressure gun lacquer. Fast drying. Virtually run proof (I tested it, you have to really work at it to get a run).  Lays out a bit rough, but blends in and lays smooth during the flash time (about 5 minutes at 65 degrees F). I sprayed it outdoors, with a high pollen count, and there is NO garbage in the paint. Clear coat tomorrow. Hmm, plain clear or with large pearl glitter?

If you like mid-50s metalflake, this stuff is well worth the $8 a can. Before tax. Oh, FWIW, this is some seriously smelly stuff, lots of thinner in it. Spray outside AND wear a mask. It doesn't taste very good...

Yeah, that's the clearcoat I used.  It worked well.  I didn't see the pearl flake type.  That'd look nice, I'd think.
