i've found that an openfaced helmet, and a good lougie work wonders. that until i forgot i was wearing a full faced helmet one day. oppss..  Shocked

i drove daily in the photo palalidn posted, the majority of the time the cages were kewl. very seldom did i actually have to add to my "antenna" collection. most of the time it was just the cage not paying attention and drifting over while talking on the phone. when people hold the phone on their left ear they have a tendency to drift that direction.

theres really nothing you can do about the agressive drivers, except try to identify them and stay out of there way.

sunny, if he's registered why not come up with a complaint. make his day a little rougher.

Wouldn't know -- I haven't commuted more than four miles in nearly three decades.  Once I started riding to work I found that I have the opposite problem..

Sluggo, yeah the full face helmet can be a real pain sometimes, but I like the protection (let's remember what started this thread). Hope it wasn't too messy in there.
Paladin, can go you one further. I commuted on my bike(s) for about 17 years till I transfered to my last job. My commute was across the hall from the master bedroom to the front bedroom converted to my office, about 3 feet! When I wasn't traveling to other cities that's where I worked. After a couple years I sold my bike since I found I hardly ever rode it ('81 Kaw 550). There just wasn't anywhere close that was a nice ride and I got away from it till I bought the Savage last year after retiring.
WD, thanks for the slang lesson. I try not to hold it against truckers in general that when I was in Viet Nam a trucker stole my old high school sweetie. I actually consider myself lucky, I wouldn'ta hooked up with the "little woman" (who is 5" taller than me) otherwise.  Grin

Sunny, it might be best to not make a bad incident worse if this guy is a whacko. The better part of valor may be to let it go.

I'm with Sunny on this one,  Angry

file the complaint, talk to biker cops and see if they can "slow him down" every so often  Wink ya know, the old "license and registration, please" stuff...  Grin

In fact, starting such an idea down here wouldn't be a bad idea, eh?  Wink

Take care,

this whole situation is just totally bizarre.

last night after finding him on the net, when i left the office and was making my way up the service road to the highway in my car, i pulled in behind him.

but i was good. it was hard, but i stayed in my car and minded the road.

well, i had a brush with death yesterday in the hov lane going home from work.

fyi: death drives a new red convertible w/ white rag top and likes to pass bikers in the area between the concrete dividers north of the i35e and 67 split. death's license plate number is W25 XDG. he wears a red do-rag and appears to be of african american origin. death was last seen heading east on i20.

.

Sunny:

I googled this clown, and it comes up as a 1997 red Toyota Celica, driven by a black male. He IS A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER!!!!  Sexual assault of a CHILD!!!!!

The police are probally looking for any dirt they can get on this idiot. I could not get his name, because the pages in the links are no longer available, but if you type his licence plate number into google, this is what comes up.

*****Police Department Sex Offenders - City of Duncanville, Texas
... Skyline Dr. Duncanville, Texas 75116 Zip: 75116 Race/Sex: B/M ... Vehicle info: Red 1997
Toyota Celica, 2dr., Texas License Plate W25 XDG Charge: Sexual Assault Of A Child Punishment: 10 years probation
*****

Seems the fool never even did time for his crime, so I am sure he thinks he is above the law. BUT he is probably STILL on probation.

BTW  If you don't already know,Duncanville is 14 miles outside Dallas.

Hope this helps

cheers

Michael, that information was already discussed earlier in the thread. And yes this guy is total scum, and should be reported for this even minor traffic incident. (thankfully sunny wasn't injured, just cut off by the jackhole)
