New job ROCKS!!!
05/04/05 at 22:32:35

What can I say? This shop and I were meant for each other.

I was busy the entire 8 hour shift.
I sold a TON of new parts.
I sold a small handful of used parts. Ka-Ching! Bonus!!!
I sold TWO bikes!!! Ka-Ching! Mega-bonus!!! Well, maybe $40 bonus, but still... $$$$$lagniappe$$$$$
I get 10% off on any new  parts I buy...Don't ask, I'll get fired if I use the discount for other people (including my wife).
I run the tire machines, mount AND balance.

They have EVERY part I've EVER wanted to stick on the Savage. At extremely competitive prices. For example, an HD Knucklehead era fender mount luggage rack for $30, BRAND NEW! Coffin tank anyone? Hows $100 + tax sound?

I'm going to actually ENJOY this job.  FWIW, I think they are still hiring...AND will soon have an online catalog and sales feature...

Awesome!  I'm glad to hear it's such a great match.  Enjoying what you do can be worth a lot more than many other benefits.  Hopefully those of us who haven't yet found a way to make a living doing something we we enjoy can manage to do just that fairly soon.

Oh, and definitely let us know when a catalog is available.

How many gallons does that coffin tank hold?
Is it painted at all?  Primer?  Color?  Raw steel?

If you enjoy your job, it ain't work!

My brother in law is a bit north of you, in Kirkland.  I mentioned my Savage and he was interested in getting a scooter.  Sis may be softening -- if I hear he's gotten the go-ahead I'll send him your way.

As long as you promise not to fight -- he's an ex-Jarhead.

The coffin tanks are black steel, look to be about 2.5 gallons (capacity isn't marked). You'd have to mildly mod your frame to run one, they are for XL and Triumph type frames. Has 2 fuel tap holes, takes an SAE 3/8 HD unit.

The best bike we have at my location is an 1100 Shaow Ace with jardine pipes, jet kit, K&N filter conversion. $4295, but, it has slightly over 40K miles on it. Windshiled, spotlights, aftermarket turn signals. Needs a bath and some aliuminum polishing. Our Lynnwood location is HUGE! More bikes, more parts, more leather goods.

Anyone need any NOS generator Harley cylinders? We've got Knuck, Pan, and Shovel. I think I can build a complete BT engine for less than 1 bill off the parts shelves...
