I have been considering do something very similar. Although after seeing this one it is apparent that the bottom scoop body piece needs to be smaller...this one looks out of place the way it is.
But otherwise, I love the cafe racer look.

I Kinda like the scoop size. My question now is...is it a custom job or is that scoop available aftermarket? I'm looking for something to fill the area between my two extended forward controls so that they don't look to be hanging out in mid air.

Can you really have a cafe racer with a feet forward position? All he has actually done is added a bullit fairing; seat paint, and an engine scoop! Sorry, not a cafe racer in my books.

I like it also, but would you call it a cafe racer?

I was thinking the same thing. It is cool though.

It's a beginning but not a cafe racer yet, I do like it so far but it needs a racing seat at least. If he could hook up a heel/toe shifter along with everything else then that would be it.

Yeah that would help, especially a bum stop solo seat and rear sets. You would then need clip ons to go with that position. Now we got something.

You can find scoops like this one in the Jireh catalog...www.jirehcycles.com

I'm installing a stainless and polished tube in between the boltheads of the forward controls.
Watch out for pictures.

LOL -- I've always wondered what to call those things, now I know. Pity that most who have them will not know what a cod piece is.
