I would prefer that someone answer the question rather than ignoring the post. Putting in references to previous threads makes the answer more complete.
Another suggestion that I have would be to remember that even in this day and age not everyone has lots of experience on-line and with forums and may not know how they work (or that this one works a little different than others

) A little explanation and direction (such as the suggestion to read through the site) will also make the answer better imho.
Maybe reading posts several times before responding would also be a good idea. I know when I first read sluggo's reply I thought it was a little harsh, but after reading it again, I noticed (ignoring the first comment about cropping

) that he a) answered the question, b) gave a reference to the previous thread c) made the suggestion to do a little more work before posting questions d) sort of apologized for the suggestion.
