A TRUE slip on exhaust?
08/15/05 at 09:12:36
hey all,
I am considering my options for a new muffler and I need something very simple. What (if any) mufflers can be slipped on using the stock mounts. Also, are there any mufflers that don't require the carb mods? I'm not sure if i'm up to it. I just need a simple one.
thanks
Weez

The MAC is a piece of cake to install and I've been happy with mine so far.

Do you have a picture?
For the Mac and Jardine, do you have to do the carb mods?
thanks,

I can't say; I did the mods and recommend them for your bike's performance. Sorry, no current pictures either. The one that's out there showing that side of my bike happened to be taken in the 3-week period I was trying out a shorty glasspack for fun. I'll try to get a picture sometime soon. And, yes, that link is the one I used.

The jardine does slip on, has a heat shield, looks good - need to order up a new gasket with it most likely the MAC is the same way - I doubt if you can put any pipe on that has less restriction and not need to rejet - these bikes need to be rejetted from the factory with the slient stopped up stock pipe.
