painting my bike..

Everything is primed and ready to go,  so far I just painted the side piece to get an idea of the color.  Its the new military camuflage color "sand dune".  I like the color, but I'm wondering if its gonna match with the crome and black frame..

Is that the primer or the base color?  Are you gonna do a clear coat too?

I think it would look fine.....

Might want to do the rear fender as well.  Reduce the chrome.

Thats the base coat.  I'm still thinking about whether or not I want to clear coat it, because the only clear coat I can get around here is Krylon "crystal clear".  I want to have the flat look and not make it shiny.

Definitely leave it flat.  Several manufacturers make flat clear coat.

I finished painting everything and while I had the bike apart I also cleaned the carb, changed to a 135 main jet, and moved the white spacer clip down a notch.  As soon as it stops raining  :'(,  I'll take it out for a spin and a photo shoot, but thats not gonna be for a while since its been raining for two days straight and the weather report says that its gonna keep raining for another two...arghh...typhoon season...

I think pink would be pretty!  I'm thinking of painting mine "Ballet Slipper".
