??? OK just collected my Savage (last Friday actually) and BOY! do I now understand the term monkey a$$!
The reason I'm writing though is because of rear brake squeal. I mean, the rear drum does not squeal, it rather shreaks, like an old freighter train ; I actually think the rear shoes are down to the bare bones, and wonder what product codes you could suggest as aftermarket items OR better even if Marauder/Intruder/Whatever shoes are compatible. No canhce of getting OEM parts for a 1988 bike here in Italy, not if it's a Jap!!!

For some expendable part you can try http://www.louis.de It's a German firm that sells a lot of spareparts for the Savage, just fill in the Motobase and you get a list.

Also the German forum:www.ls-650.de has a list of suppliers.
