A while back I got a S/S brake line from Lancer. Suzuki recommends that the front brake line be replaced every two years.  This is a mindlessly simple upgarde and certainly worth it on the Savage.

I have the stainless line on my Savage too, it looks  and works great.  You can feel the difference between the stock unit and the stainless.  I have just added a stainless throttle cable.  It has very smooth action...much better than a regular cable.
