is it normal? (Read 6 times)

kikuchiyo Ex Member	is it normal? 11/21/05 at 16:02:06 I run out of gas on the highway. After pulling over to the shoulder I switched to reserve,- but bike would not start... engine would turn and turn for nothing. After five minutes after pulling choke it started. Bike is new 05, 3500miles. Should I be concerned?

It won't start until I pulled the choke out all the way ???

Reply #2 - 11/21/05 at 16:52:32 If you run it dry before you switch to res and the engine dies - it'll restart much better if you switch it to pri and let the carb bowl fill back up - otherwise it can take a lot of cranking to create enough vacuum to let enough gas into the bowl so the jet can pick any up
