Well, after riding with the peanut tank on the Savage, I've decided to revert to the stock tank for a number of reasons.  There were some issues I never entirely worked out with it.  Mostly, I don't really trust my machining ability enough to trust it mounted to my bike.

So now I get to decide whether to think about it and see if I think my way through the problems or sell it...

Kind of a bummer though...it did look rather cool, in my opinion.  Especially the apes.  Although it might have looked pretty good with a flatbar as well, methinks.

What part did you have to machine that makes you nervous?  There may be a different way to do it...

I think the drag bars look pretty good on the savage... but w/o risers they really wear out my upper back... that's why I'm prolly gonna go w/ apes...

Sounds pretty sturdy to me... but hard to tell w/o pics...  so the steel plate rests on top of the frame, and the tank sits on that?  hmmm I see...
