pro pad

Getting a pro pad installed in my seat on Friday.  Going down a little south of Milwaukee to a guy named Alligator Bob.  That is his web site too.

I'll let you know if the ride back in better than the ride down.

Plus my main squeeze and I are going up to Minnesotta this week-end.  Probably a five or six hour trip.  Hoping this makes the trip more comfortable.

Any of you have a pro-pad installed in your seat?

Well I rode my first 309 mile day.  Went to Lake Villa and back to get the Pro Pad installed.

I was pretty uncomfortable the last twenty miles.  But,  maybe that is the way it is.  I notice I sit pretty far back in the seat.  Maybe the pad doesn't go that far.

I stopped 1/2 way down and 1/2 way back at about 75 miles to stretch and get gas.

I got an amazing 65 miles per gallon.  Holly Smokes Batman that was cool.

Hubby and I head out tomorrow for Minneapolis area.

Peace to you all and ride safe over the Holiday!  Happy 4th!!

You have a picture - just curious what a pro pad looks like - yes hours on either cures it or kills the nerves off so you dont notice it any more

The pro pad was installed inside the seat.  I don't have a photo.  There is an illustration on www.alligatorbob.com at the top left hand corner when you click on propad.  It is not a very good illustration though.

When they installed the pad.  They peeled back the cover, removed some foam, replaced it with the pro-pad, put on a thin layer of material to hold the pad in place, put some more foam on top, and then replaced the outer vinyl.  If feels pretty good.  I notice it most when I first get on the bike.

I think maybe they explain the process on the website too.  I only wish I'd had him put in on the whole seat and not just the driver seat because I lean into the back of the pillion.

Hope this helps.
