1987 (I think manu date was 8/86)

Milage is less than 4k

My mom bought it when my dad had his 1000cc Sportster, a few years later he sold his bike for money, she kept hers.

I rode it in highschool, dropped it, shedded it. Tried working on it last year, didn't have time or money to get it running, so here we go again. (Once my truck is running again that is ??? )

Not sure how many owners before me, but I've owned it about a year now:

1987 Savage
a little over 28000 miles

It had about 25000 when I bought it. It has run perfectly since I bought it, but it developed a 'noise' last weekend after my big 4th of July ride. It sounds like the timing chain is going but I suppose I'll find out when I tear into it this weekend. Hopefully nothing serious and I'll be able to get another several thousand miles out of her. Grin
