It now has 5163 miles. I got it just in time. My 4-wheeled vehicle was in the shop for two months, so I've had to ride the scooter to work. Drat!

If you count all of my motorcycles, I usually put on over 30K motorcycle miles per year. I enjoy riding the Savage.....great bike!

Reply #68 - 01/17/07 at 06:25:40 bought her in Nov of 06 Second owner It had 29,500 on it It has like 29,515 Now I haven't driver her much the first owner let it sit for 4 years before deciding to sell had to get her road ready my thumper is a 1997. Then Engine I just put on her has like probly close to 9,000. Miles on it.

Reply #70 - 01/17/07 at 06:59:12 Just got my 06 S40 in march 2006...Have only put about 6,000 miles on it because I ride my Ninja most of the time..Only ride the S40 on short hops around town, too uncomfortable to ride it for any length of time or longer distances.

B/c he had too many motorcycles to ride.

1987 bought at the end of this last summer from the second old man who had owned it. Kind of beat up, but only 6400 miles on it. I've only put a few hundred on it since... I think the clock is at 68xx something. No commuting for me anymore. Strictly pleasure riding! Wink

It has seen so little use since new, that the last old guy had to clean the fuel tank and system. A couple of weeks ago I inspected the original tires with a magnifying glass and decided they need changing due to micro weather cracks, even though they still look good at a a couple of feet away.

I'm not afraid to ride it around the neighborhood easily, but it makes me shudder to think of some of the faster riding I'd done before looking at those old tires with that magnifying glass!
