I have a SuperTrapp exhaust on my LS650. I rejetted the carb with a Dynojet DL144 main. Now, the Dynojet kit replaces the needle and keeps the stock white washer. I don't know how the Dynojet DL144 compares with other main jets available.

What I have is black soot accumulating on my SuperTrapp discs. So, I think I'm running too rich. I ordered another 6-pack of discs, and I'm planning to add 2 more discs to lean it out better.

I'm looking for someone who has been through this, and what their solution was. ???

This DJ144 jet is plenty powerful. I had to add 3 more SuperTrapp discs to 11 to get rid of the black soot.
This thing has scary acceleration now. I still have a sticky needle, and sometimes won't go to higher RPMs.
This happens if I ride a distance at constant throttle.

this supertrapp has got me all confused. the phamplet that comes with it says you dont need to rejet if you dont use more than 8 discs. im running 8 with a k@n air filter and no rejetting. It pops a little sometimes when decelerating but not often and not very loud. Took a major road trip on my 650 (5,000 miles in a month) and pulled the plug when i got home. plug was nice and tan, and what little soot on the discs i could wipe off with my finger. it runs strong and smooth, so how come i dont need no rejetting?
