Passenger and Rider Footpegs

Hey everyone,

Well my husband did it. He dumped my 04 Savage making a right hand turn this afternoon and broke the rider footpeg specifically the support peg. I have ordered another but I really want to get my bike going before it comes in. I would like to ride this week.

My question is - before I go through the entire process of taking the passenger footpeg off - does anyone know if I can take the passenger footpeg support peg and use it for the rider support peg.

Can you believe he hurt my baby. I keep teasing him that the only reason there was not more damage was because his body cushioned the fall. I guess it could have been worse. He is fine and my bike is fine. Just the footpeg and a little paint off the gas tank.

Hey at least it wasn't me.

sorry to hear about the recent modification Wink

but now you have an excuse to get a set of ISOs from hawk, i'm sure the embarassed hubby would love to spring for a set Embarrassed

i dont know if the innards of the buddy pegs will fit inside the operater pegs, but the right side buddy peg must have the rear wheel removed, to get at the allen bolt in the swingarm, that holds it in place. the left side buddy peg can be removed with the rear wheel in place. i've had them all off recently, but i've slept since then, and cant seem to remember any details Undecided

My hubby rode my V-Star down the drive once and whne he tried to turn almost dumped it, refuses to get on another one, said he had really figured I was in the house calling my Attorney when he did it. I just gave it away and got a Savage but he's sure gun shy now.

Glad no one was hurt, but work it as long as you can, if he wants to ride, he can ride his own Grin

Well I am getting this motorcycle thing down. After giving it some thought, I realized, why can't we cut the end off, drill another hole, and put it back on until the new ones come in. Well, I did it and it worked great. Maybe there is a tinkerer in me after all. Maybe by next riding season my bike will be totally different. Wink
