I just bought a used 2001 Suzuki Savage, but it didn't come with a toolkit or a owner's manual. I'm wondering if I could get some advice from anyone here as to what I should get for a toolkit, and where maybe I could get an owner's manual.

As another question, I saw on a previous topic someone saying something about anti-squeel grease. My front brakes squeel when I brake, so I'm also looking for a way to get them to stop doing that.

Though mine came with most of kit (only 10 x 12 wrench & pliers & the handy belt adjusting tool included, I think I saw the kit available from Bikebandit. Least you'll get the special belt tool & a spark plug wrench that is most suitable to the Savage. On mine that fills the tool kit area but only makes for a rough selection of tools - I'll leave that topic up to wiser minds.

I'd but either the Clymer's workshop manual ex Amazon @ about $25 or the Suzuki Workshop manual itself. I own the former but know a lot prefer the latter though more expensive ($60?) Don't know where to obtain but think there is a website that only carries manuals - I know my local buddy Thumperclone told me about it - why not send him a message for it's address?

Re owners manual - I downloaded a copy of the 2002 (it'll work for yours - it works for my 1996!) into Adobe. Can't recall where I got it from - maybe just Googling "Suzuki Savage Owners Manual"????
