franch Senior Member Offline I love YaBB 1G - SP1! Posts: 287	belt wear 08/09/06 at 06:51:20 has anyone ever noticed the belt developing white horizontal lines on the outside ? i wonder if the belt dries out over time ? would armorall be ok to apply to the outside of belt or should i even bother ?

When it comes to Armorall and similar products, I've heard they can actually hasten the deterioration of rubber on tires and such so I'd be doubly hesitant about using it on a drive belt.

magicfairy Ex Member	Re: belt wear Reply #6 - 08/09/06 at 13:34:26 My belt (9000k) developed a horrible squeak after getting very wet then dry a few weeks in a row. Bike shop put on some "belt lube" and problem has gone away. Is this common?
