speedo rubber o ring
08/11/06 at 06:51:51

i know this is an old topic but does dealer show this seal/o-ring on their microfish ?

can a replacement be bought ?
anyone have a pic ?
does the seal sit up against the screw cap of the cable end ?
mine finally started leaking, never did have a seal since i've owned it.

The partnumber of the OEM ring 34943-11030.

An "o"- ring sitting up against the crewcap worked fine for me since 2 years.

reelthing posted a picture some time ago.

thanks, i'll try an o ring. i already tried cutting a flat piece of an old inner tube to make my own seal but didn't work.
i just ran to the dealer before your post with the part # and they said must by whole speedo assembly.
then i got the kid working out front to pull off the cable end on a used for sale savage they had and it is really more a seal than an o-ring. it's about a half cm tall and looks like it rides around the thick part of the speedo drive shaft .

just called the dealer and for $1.78 they ordered the seal for me.
he said if we had looked at microfish for the right side of motor it would have shown up as it sits inside the male threads coming out of right side of motor.
anyway thanks again.

I went to the hardware store and bought a rubber faucet washer and used on it.  Works like a charm!

Part Number:  34943-11030

Searched all the microfiches but can't find it. But they have it.
