Oil Change on a 2002 Suzuki Savage (LS650)

Hi Everyone,
I just purchased an '02 Savage with 1680km on it. Beautiful bike. I had a question about changing the oil on it...does the bike need to be elevated at the back end to drain the oil?

Thanks.
Is there another bolt on the case? I think that I opened the wrong one. A tiny bit of oil came out though...nothing much, just a few drops.

You took the wrong bolt out. The one you want is directly
behind
the kickstand, tucked up behind it.

You have to lay down on your side and sorta look up in there behind the kickstand to see it. Since yours is an '02, it should be a 14mm plug.

Tip for the oildrain plug.
I access the plug from the RH side of the bike, leaning on the sidestand. Use a ring spanner.
My 2 bits.
