Need Some Savage Help

Hey - I was wondering if any of you can help me. I've looked through previous posts and also did a search - but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

First - I have some Savage saddlebag brackets to mount on my bike - but they don't line up to any existing holes. For those of you that's done this - can you tell me what you had to do? I hate to put any more holes in my rear fender - but will if I have to.

Second - I want to switch over to a pillow seat - the one with buttons. Is the Sportster the only bike our seats are compatible with? Thanks a bunch@

Joni

i did my 06 the bars mount inside the fender to bolts holding the side rails on.. need to jack the frame up and leave the rear tire on the ground small hands help think you could pull your shocks and get  more room(others here may know) your bars should oc came with new bolts ..clearances to the tire are critical double triple check when you think you are done to insure bolt to tire clearance is  sufficient... good luck!!

what year bike do you have should not matter. they should line right up check to make sure you have the right one for the side I'll see if I can get some pics later for you. lift the bike so the back tire is off the ground alittle will help

okay you can see that the fender has three holes but the outside cover only show's two bolts. I hope this helps

I may be wrong but I don't think our seats are compatible with any bikes. Not even the Sportster. The Sporster seat will only fit the Savage with some modifications.
