Seat and Turn Signal questions

Hi all, I just broke the left rear signal for a SECOND time on my 06S40 - SUCKS!
They are $58 OEM, any suggetions on aftermarket?
Also, I must be a moron - how does the seat come off of this bike?
One last thing - I put a sportster muffler on the bike - a little backfiring, nothing more than what it had with the stock muffler - should I do anything to fix. or leave it go?
Thanks everyone!
Mike

try some of the cataloges ive seen old style (theyre not as deep)for $25 something each.youd have to get 2 to stay uniform so back up to 50..youll have fun with the side rail an extra hand wil b helpfull and if you dont have small hands should consider supporting the bike from center and dropping the wheel down, may have to remove shocks that front bolt is a bugger even with small hands.. good luck!!

It's been a few hours since you posted, you must have figured out how to get the seat off by now,it's one bolt ether side under the rear right /left of the seat,# 10 socket wrench with a three inch exstention, the front of the seat hooks under the gas tank bracket, just ease is back after getting the seat bolts out, peace of cake old chap.

Hey I bought some custom bullet marker lights from J & P Cycles and they only cost $9.99 a piece.
