Welcome fellas, I like the Jolly rodger, too, reminds me of the one I put on a whip on my 84 celica so I could find it among all the SUVs at WalMart in Bastrop

Almost finished aesthetic modifications. Had some paint left over from previous projects... So at least the paint job was free. Gonna enjoy it this summer and see what HP improvements can be done in the following winter.
Constant Tinkering is my game. I do enjoy the bike a lot...

Miller,
Your bike really turned out nice.
What muffler is that?
What did you use for an adapter?

Thats the long reverse cone muffler that Ryca sells for around $65.00. I actually like the sound alot better over factory and even the modified factory muffler. As far as the bracket goes, I took the factory savage bracket, and notched and re-welded it to work with this muffler. and welded some tabs on the bolts so when they slide into the muffler mounting channel, they dont rotate when you tighten the nuts. Worked out well. Also added some metal on that bracket so a bike lift holds the bike straight without a wood block. Oh, and Ryca has a little short chrome tube that changes the angle of where the muffler attaches to the header pipe so the muffler is at the correct angle.

Welcome Liz, hope you enjoy your bike as much as many of us do here. Gotta watch it tho. It gets a little dicey around here sometimes!

Hi, I'm Jim. I'll be picking up my '95 savage end of June. Just trying to learn as much as possible before I get it. Thanks for the add.

Hi,
My name is mem. I am 70 years old and I just joined the forum this month. 2014 S40 is actually the wifes and she is 67 and 5 ft. even. As I am her wrench I thought I would join. This is her second Savage She went from a Savage to a V-Star 650 but missed the Savage so much she traded it in on a the new one to her. We do a lot of riding so hope we will be able to make a cntribution to this site. I plan to add a new pipe and do the carb jetting soon, as she just got her bike this week. We spend a lot of time ner Bedford Pa. and if anyone is in the area we would love to ride with you. Thanks for having us on board.

Welcome to you and the missus! Good group of folks here if you can stand the sometimes very long Tall Table posts that scrub out the new post display

Hi, My name is Ron, I just got a basket case 2006 s40 this weekend for $100! Obviously it will need plenty of work and I have already learned alot about the bike browsing waiting for approval. I currently have in the stable:
2001 Suzuki TL1000R
1997 Suzuki TL1000S
1976 Honda CB360
2001 Suzuki Katana
2006 Suzuki S40
Somehow over the years I turned into a Suzuki man. Not sure how that Honda got in there.

Welcome, that Honda is a goody though. There was a guy from down under awhile back with a basket case he put together. Hope you have as good a luck as he did getting it back together.
