Yonuh Adisi is Cherokee, it means Running Bear which is my Cherokee name. (please, no Running Bear loves little White Dove jokes)
Oh....I am so glad you told us that!! I knew there was more to it

I have alot of Cherokee in me also. And...there is alot of Cherokee heritage here where I live. There is a Mtn here called "Yonah Mtn." Have wondered what Yonah meant!
Just don't get confused, Yonuh or Yonah means bear and Adisi means running. The descriptive is on the end. So that would be Bear Mnt. No I have never been to Cherokee N. Carolina. [/quote]
Thanks....is there a good Cherokee book that you know of? On symbals, words, etc.
I guess you know Cherokee,N.C. is a Indian reservation, right?I love to go there, and feel more at home there than anywhere...more peaceful.
What does the symbal of a bear mean?
