I absolutely love the conversion. I do have the 16/43- lot's of zip out of the gate and very smooth on the top end. Previously, I'd get it up around 65 and it felt like it was pretty much wrapped out (or at least sounded wrapped out) Yesterday, we were cruising along at what my speedo said was 55. At the next stop, my buddy told me we were actually doing 65. Which made me really happy, 'cause Eileen still had a long way to go before she hit the wall, relative to the belt drive.
I do need to rejet/adjust the carb, though. Since I cleaned out the engine and did the conversion, she's running fairly rich now.
And too, I get it running? The forcast for the next ten days..? Frog-choking t-storms... Figures.
