As I said before my Savage is running well now and am waiting for a new fuel valve. I cleaned up my spark plug after riding with my problem with the fuel valve for about 10 miles and the rest of the tank of gas running on Pri with the vacuum line capped off. It had carbon on part of the spark plug probably from running rich with my bikes old problem, but with some tan deposit where the carbon did not get to. I now have a full tank of gas and will check out the plug after about 100 miles. My first question is how do I know if the bike is running too lean? I don't experience a backfire when riding, only a PoP when I shut the bike down. (quite manageable) I experience a cough from the bike in the higher range of the throttle in 2nd, and 3rd. gears when excelerating quickly. I think this means that I have to adjust the appropriate jet. Is this correct? Thanks for all your help and support from all of your suggestions. This site is great!! DocNeedles
