finally bought one
06/10/08 at 20:53:13

Roll EyesAfter a couple of months of going crazy looking at different makes, I finally bought a 2007 S40.  It has a little over 3,000 miles, a windshield, engine guards and a sissy bar and little luggage rack.  I got it for $4,200 out the door.  It's black and I didn't notice and dings or dents. The tires look new  too.

Do you think I got a good deal?

Guess I should order a t-shirt.  too bad i can't get the one with the guy with the bloody nose

Not a bad deal - I paid $3150 for a 2006 with 2100 miles, factory windshield, backrest, and saddle bags.  After market Sportster muffler.

Any one can get a "better deal" I suppose than he got, but what's your time worth, and what are you missing while you search and seek trying to save a couple of hundred bucks?

Enjoy your ride - that's why you bought it.

Buying any motorcycle or automobile,(new or used), it is where the 'screwer' meets the 'screwee'.  When you are satisfied with the deal thats all that matters.

Rode it home today and got my first 'hi, how are you' from a passing motorist who told me move my piece of &%$* over to the right lane.  Actually, I was keeping up with traffic and was in the left lane because I was going to make a left soon.

thanks for all of your responses.  I feel ok about the price.  the bike is in perfect condition without a mark on it.

I would like to give it a little more pep, so what do I have to do, change the exhaust and reject? I also need a 2007 owners manual.  any suggestions on that?  the store wants something like $25.
