I see mention of the max number of turns out before rejetting to be '3'. But, is that 3 180 degree turns, or is that 3 360 degree turns. I ask because turning mine all the way in, I cannot even turn it 3 360 degree turns before it stops.

A full turn is 360°
If you turn CCW, sooner or later it should come out completely.
If you turn it CW, sooner or later it will bottom out or come to a stop.
Don't turn hard, some people had their's get stuck.

For max CW to max
safe
CCW is about 3 turns. Any more - screw may fall out due to vibrations. But you should be at around 2 turns with stock setting.
