K&N Filter and carburator question.
08/29/08 at 10:10:03
I've just installed an OEM-style K&N filter and now the engine is running a little rough. Do I need to adjust the carburetor a little richer or do I need to think about a re-jetting kit?

You are letting more air in so the mix is now leaner. How much ? ?
Start with the pilot circuit, and try adjusting the screw. If it is not enough then you need a larger pilot jet. Then retune with the screw.
Then check the midrange...does the white spacer need to be cut down for a richer mix ?
Then test the high range to see if a larger main jet is needed.
Step by step. Take your time.
