How Temp, Altitude & Humidity Impact Fuel Mix

Here is a handy table that explains how air temperature, altitude and humidity impact your fuel mix, and the proper corrective action to take (richen/lean) the mix.
The logic behind this is that higher temperatures and higher altitudes make the air less dense, which means less oxygen and therefore a more fuel-rich mix.
So, to make a mix richer, change to a larger jet
To make a mix leaner, change to a smaller jet
To make your idle mix richer, turn the idle mixture screw CCW.

The table represents relative conditions only. So, if your bike is dialed in at a range of 50-75% relative humidity and you move to a dry climate and it runs poorly, you know which way to go. Or if you live at Sea level and you're trying to suggest jet sizes to someone who lives in the Rockies you can understand how their local conditions will be different and which direction they should go.
To predict a optimal jet size for changing conditions you need a correction factor chart. These charts are created for a specific carb and normally provide temperature and altitude adjustments factors. Here is an example of what one looks like,
but it is not for the stock carb on the Savage.

NOW. (LANCER)... how does the Dial-a jet mod from Thunder Products work? Do you use the the graph as is and adjust accordingly? There was a tube that makes the carb acts like fuel injection too...
This mod (I assume) allows you to adjust 3 jet settings without switching jets. (once you have the correct jet selected).
