I searched for this info but couldn't find it, what year Sportster seat will fit the savage? I found a guy locally who has a nice one piece seat from a 99 Sportster that I am considering. Pics are below - can anyone give any opinions on it?

In another thread someone stated that 2004 and later models fit.
I found a 2002 seat a lot like yours and took a chance. You will need to do a little fabing to fit it. I bent down the rear mount on the fender, just used a hammer and bent it down to within an inch of the fender.
Then I had to reposition the chrome tab on the back of the new seat and bent it to fit under the rear bracket. Then I made a slanted u shaped big bracket that bolted to the seat pan and lined up with the main mounting brackets for the drivers section on the bike. I also cut the pan where it could sit down on the frame more. Before I did that it was too high off the frame.
The two cut outs fell right in the flat moulded bump stop looking shapes on the seat pan.
for the front I just let it sit on the gas tank/ seat mount. also had to raise it a couple inces to come up and meet the seat pan.

It's very sturdy and fits very nicely on the bike. I like it much better than the stock seat too.

I think both 2-ups will fit easily.  These are similar to mine.  You may need to releave the plastic pan some to make it fit better such as to clear those frame posts that stick up in the rear    and the rectifier.

I think the solo and pillion can be made to fit too but not sure.
