Rear fender question...
10/26/08 at 10:37:50

I planning to repaint my bike very soon (my new tank came in), and want to re-shape the fenders slightly while I am at it. Do I have to remove the wheel to get the rear fender off, or can it be done with the wheel left on?

Thanks!!!
Chong

You have to remove the rear wheel first. The bolts are ran from underneath the fender and you would never be able to get your hand plus tool under there with the wheel in the way.

It can be done, but probably easier to remove the tire.If you have a bike jack, disconnect shocks, and jack it up you can get enough room.
