There are some here that claim 100 mph, I think they have speedometer problems.

MAC muffler, carb may or may not have been worked by P.O., I was keeping up with traffic but the speedometer was blurry from the vibration.

This was passing on a 2 lane hiway. I would go faster if necessary when passing. The bike does 110kph comfotably which is just fine for me. I have no need to be 1st at the crash site.

When I first got my bike, completely stock except for jardine muffler,
(read no backpressure and way to lean) 80 was top speed.

Now I have rejetted and added K&N filter and went to a dyna (some backpressure yet more open than stock).

On the freeway yesterday, I hit 80 quickly, had 40 percent throttle left-
I backed off because it felt like it was floating, fast enough for me.

I bet it would go high 80's like it is now, possibly 90 with a smaller rider. Also I know my speedo is off a little due to oversized tire.

Rejetting carb will ,working in concert with those two mods help your top speed. Seviersavage

I had a little more throttle left to go but didn't do it.. Flat straight road and a stock 05 S-40 i'm 225lb Yeah the mirrors are just a blurr what with all the vibration and 85 seems really fast when I almost outweigh what i'm driving. lol
