That picture had me rollin', mostly because I know the feeling...... my car started stock, then a little thing here, I'll change the lights, intake and exhaust, next thing you know I was doing a full engine swap. She was my baby until an accident a few years ago. At that point I figured I'd try my hand at body work, but the project got kinda depressing, and I still haven't had it repainted.
Mostly because the money that was supposed to be spent in the paint booth went to the Suzuki dealer.....
In terms of the direction I plan to travel, I have to rank: 1) functionality 2) performance 3) appearance
I want to be able to use it, and to the best of the abilities I can get out of the package. I am probably one of the most anti-chrome guys out there. I like quiet, non-flashy, low key. But the flaming orange paint has grown on me.
I'm sure they'll be some style touches along the way, don't get me wrong, but I care more about being on the road than spending the afternoon washing and polishing.
Regardless of what happens, I definitely intend on it all happening by my hands (with a lot of questions and a little help along the way)
Thanks
Tom
