relocating turn signals????

got a set of saddlebags and they hit my turn signals where they are now, how do I move the turn signals? and where is a good place, someplace where I won't do a lot of damage and be able to change everything back if I need too

Someone on here made a bracket that bolts onto the license plate bracket, and extended the wires to it. Should still be around here somewhere, with a little searching.

i removed the chrome rails, and got some aftermarket turn signals that were threaded, drilled a hole and put a nut and washer on the light itself.
can go back to stock, except for the extra hole lol

I used a stainless steel shower rod from lowe's to make this bracket for my turn signals.

A piece of 1/2" emt, stretched on each end by putting a soccket in the end & stretching with a little hammer work. A few holes drilled with a uni-bit & the stock turn signals slide right in. bolt it to the rear with your license bolts. Run the wirng along side the taillight wires, thru the existing hole, & make short extensions for the wires. It will give you room to slide the bags back off of your shocks. If the s40 turn sig. stems are the same size as savage.

I used a peice of flat steel bent on both ends and attached to the back of the licence plate.
But the small LED's weren't visible during the daylight hours so I went with some other turn signals (not led)

these are all great ideas, thank you all, does the existing wiring have enough slack to relocate them or will I need to extend the wiring, and what guage/kind of wire should I get for that??

If you have to extend it, solder it. Those crimp splices work great, for a while, then they corrode. When you cut the wire, hack a section out ( say, ohh an inch?) & haul it to the hardware store, buy some like it, Id be shocked if its heavier than 18 gauge. You can use a heavier wire than whats there.

It looks like it'd be an easy drop-in replacement.

saxman did a neat turn signal relocation. I sort of followed his plan.
