I need to darken my visor
03/20/10 at 07:46:04
I have two visors on my helmet, one clear an another dark one that slids down over the clear one when needed. I want to darken it more. What works?

does your helmet have an internal sun visor that can drop down inside the helmet?

i see i have a pro grip visor insert that is light reactive so when its dark its clear and when its sunny it has a slight tint to it they fit on to the inside of your visor the main benefit is that they act as double glazing for your visor so your visor will never mist up EVER!

You might be able to get a dark visor to replace the clear one, and then you would have two tinted visors. Of, of course, sunglasses.

I have been wearing glasses inside full-face helmets for nearly twenty years. You remove your glasses, put on the helmet, open the visor, put your glasses on and proceed. Or do as I did and buy a modular (flip-face) helmet when I replaced my first full-face helmet. But it is your choice - do what you will.

I put a strip of windshield tint just above my line of sight, works very well.
