My heart goes out to the families of the dead.
Phoenix is a very dangerous place to ride. Arizona lost 146 people in 2006 motorcycle fatalities, mostly in Phoenix, and probably twice that last year. Outside the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas you have the roads to yourself, but inside the metro areas your life is on a razor's edge. Not only do you risk life and limb, but the odds that the person that hits you will actually have insurance are slim and none.

Just got my new AMA magazine in today. Update on this story.

The truck driver's bail has been set at one million dollars and he is being charged with four counts of man slaughter, five counts of aggravated assault, and seven counts of endangerment. He may be charged with impaired driving because toxicology reported meth in his system at time of crash.
