So it all worked out!
I now have a new 120/80-16 Continental in the back ($45, vietnam)
and a new 90/90-17 dunlop 404 in the front ($75usd, japan), and
since the bike weighs only 115kg and drives only 115km/h both
tires should last longer than the engine, yay!
Also turns out that this particular model of nylon continental
tire, is
reversible and should be installed with opposite
rotation direction depending where it goes, I did not know that.
the dunlop on the other hand is a regular "front only" tire.
They both are broken-in now and have awesome grip both wet and
dry and pass with flying colors the stimpy "curves of the Eifel" test!
** Not my video but this was shot a few miles from my house.
See now WHY I needed a new set of wheels? Curves baby!

Anyway, thanks guys, I'll keep you posted on any new mods and/or
issues and will hopefully shoot my own video soon and post it here.
Richard.
