The only regret I have is I didn't have a camcorder rolling so I could share this with everyone!
So I was driving into work this morning in the truck (rained all night & expecting rain today). As I look ahead, I see 20 to 24 long tan legs coming towards me on the sidewalk. Yep, the WKU girl's cross-county team out for a morning stroll. This alone could be enough to lift a man's spirits, but today was different. Today was destined to be a day I won't soon forget...
I was following a PT cruiser driven by an older lady. We were tooling along at about 35mph when the team of legs came into view. I started to focus, I knew my gawking window was gonna be brief. Just as they were right beside the PT cruiser, it hit a HUGE water puddle!! I mean, this thing was HUGE & about 6 inches deep!! I didn't see it coming at all (they didn't either) & I will never forget the faces of the first 2 girls when the tidal wave hit 'em!!! It was priceless!!! I think it soaked them all. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!!! They started piling up and knocking each other over... Oh man, I'm LOL-ing right now just picturing it. After that, I knew my day was gonna be a good one. Sure, I felt a little bad for them, but no one was hurt. Besides, who doesn't get a little joy outta someone's misfortune every now and then??
I wanted to stop and offer assistance, but I didn't have a clothesline with me...
