Wow, that would have been great. When I was in FA (Field Artillery), we did everything manually. I guess it was labor of love.

thats right Gerald,I was in the 8th Royal tank regiment,and Stationed in Paderborn,we used german barracks I'm happy to say,they were way better than the British barracks back home,all central headed ,
tank washes ,I mean these places were spotless,and we were made to keep them that way, I was there in 1955 to 57 all the signs were still in German "Rouchen Verboten" I think that was the way they spelled Smoking forbiden.long time ago.
PS there were no German tank drivers when I was there ,they were a beaten nation,they had no army at that time, different now I guess.
