As much as Im Pisstawph at BP, the 20 billio0n was extortion IMO & it was put in the hands of the same A55HOLE who was in charge of handin out the $$ after 9/11. I dont trust that setup, at all. I dont see why BP couldnt have put the money in a trust fund & allowed people to apply for repareations. I think the people who get a dime in compensation for thier losses should be made public & the $$$ amount made public, so the $$$ cant just disappear into the pockets of bureaucrats.

actually its more like you being in an accident, and before the cars are even towed away, the cop on the scene tells you to write a check, you dont have enough so you have to call your friends and family. it doesnt matter that you have insurance, he just stands in front of a mob and demands it. and the mob yells for you to be shot on the spot.

If you are injured, and the party at fault refuses to admit guilt or pay restitution,... then the laws protect you...

If you are injured, and the party at fault admits guilt and promises to pay full restitution,... the law is not required...
That is the case with BP,... so far...

Laws are to correct injustices...

"We are a nation of laws" is a sophism...

All civilized nations have laws, and so, they are all "Nations of laws"...

Yes, I would trust my mother to handle my money but my parents raised me to take care of myself and not to depend on others.

as to the rest of your comments, I do ride and really couldnt care less what you think of me. Moxy, I am sure the ladies here do have plenty.

Soon as the VIP left, theyd load up the workers & houl them away.
