I have been told that placing gel insoles inside your boots, shoes will keep the vibration down to a minimal. Have any of you tried this?
So far I have not noticed much of a vibration in my feet so haven't tried this yet.
Just thought I would see what you all had to say about them..  Smiley

I havent used a gel insole, but it sounds reasonable. I do have some gloves w/ gel inserts on the palm & they really help w/ chainsaws & bigger yard tools that cause impact/ vibration. Ive also uased them for riding & I like them there, too.

I love them; have been using them for years and could not walk much without them because of foot structure problems.

Kimchris,

Like Lancer, I have foot/leg issues so I pay attention to feet and shoes and vibration and fatigue.

I wear a strong light high top work shoe with a gel insole.  The sole of the shoe is strong enough to take the line contact with the peg and transfer it into a nice broad area contact.   I use a gel insole inside the shoe and it offers me the illusion of "soft" and "cool".

Any illusion of foot comfort and decreased leg fatigue is always appreciated, of course.

The shoes have nasty hard steel toes, when you ride with that bunch it is almost a requirement whenever they get all rowdy and you have to get their attention somehow.

Gel insoles work on a vibration prone ship so they should work on a bike.
