Is this the one you guys are talking about? How much does it really help, and how?
BTW, says 10 minute install, 2 beer job? Do you shotgun one before you start?? haha
If you click "Learn More" in the yellow banner on top, it shows an animation of what it does. I'd love to have one, but a little pricey for me right now.
Snot a 10 minuteinstall. Gotta get the bug deflectors off, I had to do some grinding under the brace, b/c it was just too close to the fender. Looked like it was gonna slowly eat the paint. Instructions say to check forks & make sure the brace doesnt cat6ch them just a bit "off center" & hold them there. I do stuff Ive never done before slowly & carefully, even if it looks real straightforward & easy. & I drink my beer at a reasonable p-ace, too..

then for my money, a big tank bag, luggage rack or a trunk is an absolute necessity and one of the best performance upgrades you can get.
Does any company make a rear trunk that fits on the later models S-40?

Before you mod the carb... I am running a stright pipe and an open filter, I have a 150 main a 55 pilot and the white spacer is at 1/2 thickness. But, It failed emissions testing in AZ for being too rich.
Does it start and run better? Yes. Is the plug showing overly rick? No. Does it perform better? Yes. I still get 100-115 miles to a tank before reserve.
Now I get to pull the carb, put the old jets back in, pass the test, and put it back the way it is...all in 115 heat! If your state requires inspection try to get your tag updated in the winter
