BMW Motorcycle Adaptive Headlight
A centrally-mounted movable xenon projection light shines up onto a diagonally-mounted mirror, illuminating the road ahead. As the nose of the bike pitches up and down with acceleration or braking, the projector light rotates in its housing to keep the beam level. This can compensate for loads too, so if your pillion passenger is exceptionally fat or you carry bricks in the panniers, the headlight will illuminate the road, not the sky. Basically the rotating light always keeps the beam level.
Things get more interesting if you check the "Adaptive Headlight" box (no word on cost). That adds a stepper motor which turns the mirror on an axis to compensate for lean angle. That also works in conjunction with the pitch compensation to ensure the bike's dynamic movement on the road doesn't affect the throw of the headlight.

K.I.S.S. -- Keep It Simple, Stupid.
Ms.Paladin drives a VW New Beetle. She backed out of the driveway next to the trashcan and broke the right mirror. No problem, stop at JC Whitney, $15. Nope. Look up the fix it the CD.... wires... ah... here... to remove mirror remove the insides of the inside of the door. OK... $500.
BMW's Motorcycle Adaptive Headlight is Interesting. But I don't need it.

Sounds basically like the stabalization systems we had on our tanks in the 70's(and through to today).
It was REALLY good feature, and necessary on my tank.
On my motorcycle, not so much.

In from '74-'82, M-60's and M-60a1's with the add-on stab kit. Although I did help crew a M-4 & an M-26 that were part of the Patton Museum while I was at Ft. Knox in the late 70's

Had American, a Ford. We needed a part for the doors (wear out.) We paid for two, they took two months to deliver part, only gave me one and I had to pay the second part a second time -- another month. Screw me over and I don't come back.

Yeah! All these idiots with beautiful green roads (** sigh **). I get to see city streets. Headlights? HA! I only find out the headlights are broken if is someone tells me -- streetlights are all I need to see with.

I don't care how good the headlight is. At my age, my night vision is about shot, and no amount of light is going to make much difference. I pretty much avoid riding at night if at all possible. If I have no choice, I ride slow and very defensively.
